# Job Description – Unix / Solaris / AIX Administrator

### Job Summary
We are looking for experienced Unix / Solaris / AIX Administrators with strong knowledge of OS administration, Unix shell scripting, automation and infrastructure management tools. The candidate should have hands-on experience in managing Unix/Linux environments, troubleshooting agent failures, executing batch jobs and supporting enterprise-level infrastructure operations.

### Key Responsibilities

- Perform OS administration and support across UNIX environments, including Solaris, AIX and Linux.
- Manage and execute Unix Shell Scripts and NSH (Network Shell) scripts.
- Handle batch job scheduling, execution, monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Work on BMC BladeLogic Server Automation for server automation and configuration management.
- Manage infrastructure tools such as OEM 13c, Trend Micro Antimalware and BMC tools.
- Troubleshoot agent failures related to OS and infrastructure management tools.
- Perform agent reconciliation across environments to ensure optimal coverage.
- Monitor OS performance, availability and health using relevant monitoring tools.
- Support tool administration, maintenance and operational activities.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal support teams for issue resolution.
- Prepare and maintain operational reports using Excel / ODS spreadsheets.
- Utilize Perl / Python scripting for automation and operational support.

### Required Candidate Profile

- Strong understanding of Solaris / AIX / Linux operating systems.
- Hands-on experience in UNIX administration and scripting.
- Experience in infrastructure automation and tool management.
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work with vendors and multiple technical support teams.
